Before and After-School Program

Extended Care is an after-school, care program for enrolled students. This service is provided for a fee and offered from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. on regular school days and from 12:00 to 5:30 p.m. on minimum school days. Students will be released from Extended Care only when an authorized person named on their Emergency Card is present and signs them out.

Parents should note that after 3:00 p.m. dismissal, or 12:00 p.m. dismissal on minimum days, students who have not been picked-up within 15 minutes, will be required to check in to the Extended Care room and parents will be billed for the amount of time spent there.

For those that need it, OLPH School also offers Morning Care for a slight fee to enrolled students. This service is provided through the efforts of volunteer parents and is available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:40 a.m., Monday through Friday.
    Preschool Program

The OLPH preschool began in 1996 and enrolls approximately 50 students annually. The staff consists of a director, three teachers, and one assistant. Preschool hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The program is run September through mid-June with a summer school program in June, July, and August.

Parents are an important part of our preschool program. They participate by coming in as guest speakers, assisting teachers in the classroom, and preparing children’s projects at home. They are also valuable in raising funds to improve our facility and help OLPH by donating food and supplies for the snack and lunch program. In the past, our parents have even participated in the construction and maintenance of our facilities. Current playground facilities for the preschool include: three playground structures; a shaded sandbox; a shaded patio; and a new drinking fountain.

For more information on our preschool enrollment and curriculum, please contact Margaret Rivera at 760-775-3477.
