Important
Notice Regarding the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion,
and Confirmation
Parents should
note a change in procedure beginning with the 2007-2008 school year. In the
past, OLPH staff arranged for and implemented the training programs
for the sacraments of reconciliation, first-holy communion, and
confirmation. Recent changes in policy have moved these services to
the diocesan level.
Beginning with
the 2007-2008 school year, the parents of students in grades 2 and 3
need to call the parish office at 760-347-3507 to register
their child for sacramental preparation (reconciliation and
first-holy communion). Classes for instruction will run weekly
October through May for reconciliation and first-holy communion.
Additional
instructions regarding the sacrament of confirmation will follow
soon for the parents of students in grades 7 and 8.
Upcoming Events
First day of
school is Wednesday, August 27, 2008 for Grades 1 - 8.
Preschool and Kindergarten classes begin on Tuesday, September 2,
2008.

Annual Calendar
At
the start of each school year, OLPH sends home an annual calendar
indicating the dates for various events and activities throughout
the school year. Additionally, each family receives a monthly
calendar at the beginning of each month and a “Parent Bulletin”
weekly.
The bulletins and
calendars are sent with the oldest child registered in the school.
If a student is absent on the day a bulletin or calendar is being
sent home, parents/guardians can pick them up in the office.
For your

you informed. Parents should check their monthly calendar for
updates.
